Maybe there’s an “I” in why…

Have you ever

wanted to

shake your fist at God

and ask

the divorce?

the finances?

the death?

the broken friendship?

The heartache?

We look for a reason, some clarity for our situation.

And we find….

We question and question

and question

and come up with same answer…

“I don’t know.”

Why do we ask “Why” to God?

Is it because He has “all control?”

Or we need someone to blame?

Or because when tragedy happens…

We finally recognize Him.

Maybe God didn’t want…

The death

The broken friendship

But it happened.

So what do we do?

We pick up. We move on.

We have good days. We have bad days.

We trust.

We stop looking for “the purpose,”

And stop asking “Why?”

And realize, that God is bigger than our situations.

He holds our future.

And He cares beyond our human comprehension.

So, put your fist down

and find rest in this…

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
